As a life-long educator, I am fascinated how design is an intricate part of all of our lives. My jewelry designs grow from a single idea from my surroundings into more complex designs using contrasting forms, materials, and textures, which add visual tension and interest to my work.

I have been exploring acrylics to produce distortions and optical effects that integrate with traditional metalsmithing techniques adding excitement to the designs. I enjoy making fun little places to explore in my jewelry. Each piece is a new adventure with exciting angles to dive into and discover.

I have personally hand crafted all of my jewelry pieces which is different from mass produced machine made jewelry.

Because the work is hand crafted, and not mass produced, it will have unique characteristics. You will see how the hammers and hand tools have forged & shaped the pieces. This is what I feel is so appealing to hand crafted art.
